When an individual or company sponsors an aspiring Olympic sailor they endorse many positive values that are engrained into today’s societal behaviors, including:
Environmentalism, Perseverance, Success, Motivation, Victory, Courage, Wind driven power, Freedom, Determination, and more...
Bob has illustrated his progress and success, but he still receives limited financial support from US Sailing and the US Olympic Committee. Therefore, like most aspiring US Olympic sailors, he must aggressively fundraise in order to fulfill his financial needs. His international competition is working just as hard as Bob both on and off the water. However, they have the benefit of receiving full government funding, something that is not done in the U.S. Bob needs your help in the form of dollars, airline miles or any other means that can help him reach his goal.
It is crucial for Bob to develop a strong relationship with his supporters. With this strong relationship Bob will bring his supporters along with him in his quest for an Olympic gold medal.
